The Idea behind this bench was to create a three dimensional representation of a two dimensional optical illusion. The core of this illusion is using a series of straight lines at varying angels to create the image of a curved line. So the three dimensional manifestation of this was to use rectangular stock at different angles to create a dynamic surface.
